123Alterations sends a tailor to your home on Long Island or in NYC to pin and measure, takes your clothes, and brings them back altered. Promised turnaround is 7–10 days. There’s no trip fee at or above the minimum order. Each item is priced at the fitting from our posted price list, and your card is charged once, after delivery.

How a house call works
- Pick a window. Enter your ZIP, see the posted prices for your area and choose a 2-hour window. Your card is saved, not charged.
- Pin and measure at home. Your tailor fits each item and prices it from our posted prices.
- Sign the quote. The signed total is the most we can charge.
- Alteration. Each item gets its own QR tag and is scanned with a photo at every handoff.
- Delivery and payment. We return the items in a window you choose and charge the approved amount.
What it costs
Item prices are in the table above and on the pricing page. Orders below the minimum order include a trip fee, which differs by area; at or above the minimum there’s none. Rush (under 5 days) adds 40% to rushed items. Tips are optional and go 100% to your tailor.
Where we make house calls
Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk), New York City (all five boroughs) and Westchester. Visits run 8 am to 8 pm on weekdays and 9 am to 5 pm on weekends. Enter your ZIP when you book.
In-home vs a walk-in shop
At a shop you travel twice: once for the fitting, once for pickup. With a house call, both happen at your door, and you see the price for every item before anything leaves.
Get ready in five minutes
Have the clothes and the shoes you’ll wear with them ready, a little floor space, and a mirror if you have one.
You sign first, pay last
Nothing is charged at booking. If we find more work after pickup, we send you a photo and a price and only do it if you approve. If something doesn’t fit the way we agreed, tell us within 14 days of delivery and we adjust it at no charge. Damage or loss is covered by our garment care & liability policy.
Questions
Is there a minimum?
No. Orders under the minimum order include a trip fee; at or above it there is no trip fee.
Is there sales tax?
No. New York excludes tailoring and alterations to clothing from sales tax.
