Repair or replace
Sometimes the zipper tape is fine and only the slider or a stop has failed; sometimes the whole zipper has to go. Your tailor looks at it in your home and tells you which fix will hold before pricing it.

Invisible, separating and two-way zippers
Dresses often use invisible zippers, jackets use separating zippers, and some coats use two-way zippers. Your tailor checks the type and length at the visit.
Coat zippers: book before the cold
Promised turnaround is 7–10 days, so book coat repairs before you need the coat. Rush (under 5 days) adds 40% to rushed items.
