Bridal alterations fit a wedding gown to you over two or more home fittings: typically the hem, a bustle and the bodice. With 123Alterations it costs priced at the fitting on Long Island and $600–$1,500 (typical) in NYC and priced at the fitting in Westchester. Bridal timelines are set at the first fitting, working back from your date. A tailor prices it at your home and you approve before we take anything.

How it works
- First fitting at homeYour tailor pins the gown with your shoes and undergarments and prices every change. You sign before the gown leaves.
- Basting and second fittingThe gown is basted and brought back for a try-on, booked online like any visit.
- Final stitching and quality checkFinal changes are stitched, pressed and checked with a photo.
- Delivered, then chargedThe gown comes back bagged before the wedding. Your card is charged the signed amount after delivery.

Damage, claims and payment

How many fittings are included?
Plan on at least two fittings. Your tailor sets the schedule at the first visit, working back from your date.
Can you alter a dress bought online?
Yes. Book a fitting and bring the shoes you will wear.
When is my card charged?
Your card is saved when you book and charged only after your order is back with you, for the amount you approved. We never charge more than the approved quote without asking you first.
Is there sales tax on alterations in New York?
No. New York excludes tailoring and alterations to clothing from sales tax, including reasonable, separately stated alterations to new clothing.
